I’ve got a notion, to make a motion

The following motions are taken from past meetings of The Little Island Pond Association.

August, 1950 A motion was made and accepted we buy a print-o-matic machine for the secretary. (two questions: does anyone know what a print-o-matic machine is, and does anyone know where it is?)

September, 1949 A motion was made and accepted to have emblems made for our club. Emblems to cost $1.00 each. Board of directors to decide emblems to be used. (does anyone have any of these emblems?)

August, 1950 A motion was made and accepted that the club carry the members in the armed services without dues until they return home.

August, 1950 A motion was made and accepted to limit club membership to camp owners and relatives.

September, 1951 A motion was made and accepted the club pay $25.00 to anyone reporting a break at anyone's camp, resulting in arrest and conviction.

June, 1953 A motion was made that Warren Voit be chairman of the screen committee. This committee would be responsible to build and install a screen at the Girl Scout dam to stop fish from escaping the pond in the spring when the water is high. The members of the committee were Richard Reader, Fred Teichert and William Morton.

June, 1968 A motion was made to advance $75.00 to the pontoon committee. This committee was responsible for the maintenance of the fire boat. The members were John Hay, Harold Bendix and Marshall Rogers.

June, 1969 A motion was made to allow members who were up to date on their dues 1 free ticket to the banquet to be held at Pelham Inn on April 4, 1970.
