Over the years the Association has had four different names. First it was the Belmont Rod and Gun Club, second The Little Island Pond Rod and Gun Club, third The Little Island Pond Fish and Games Club, and Lastly, as it is known today,

The Little Island Pond Association

1949 Was the first recorded Fishing Committee. Their job was to try and get fish put into the pond. The Association wrote to the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department to see if they would allow ice fishing on the pond.

1950 There were only 2 or 3 telephones around the pond. There was also a discussion about stocking the pond. The East Shore Club wanted to hire a lawyer to look at the town records to see if the people on the pond paid more in taxes than the town people.

1951 The tax investigation was progressing.

1952 The club asked for volunteers to transport fish from a lake that was being cleaned out. Many people volunteered.

1951 The president of the club was looking into having a road built around the pond. The club also voted to spray around the pond for caterpillar pests at a cost of $3.00 per camp. The game warden also put some fish into the pond and would continue to do so every year after.

1954 It was voted to spray the pond however the price was now $7.00 per camp.

1956 Taxes were again discussed and they voted to spray again at a cost of $5.00 per camp. At the annual meeting a conservation spokesman said that between 1949 and 1953 there were records of several hundred fish in the pond.

1960 There were committees for Fire fighting, fireworks, emergency planning, water safety, water level and a smorgasbord get together. This is also the first year for fireworks. The club voted to buy fire pump equipment.

1965 There was a considerable discussion about controlling water skiing and a water skiing committee was formed.
1965 The club had a water carnival and discussed having a queen.
1969 A new fire boat was purchased.

There seem to be no more minutes after that until 1981

1981 Trout were bought and put into the pond at a cost of $700.00.

1983 At the meeting it was stated that "Pelham must recognize Little Island Pond as the largest industry in town".

1984 It was stated at the meeting that "Little Island Pond is a 1-1/2 million dollar industry".

1987 The name was changed to;

The Little Island Pond Association.
